Shaheeb Abdul Azeez

Bio:
Shaheeb Abdul Azeez is a Lecturer (HoD of Public Health Department), Faculty of Health Sciences, Maldives National University since 2013. Earlier he worked as a healthcare manager in the Ministry of Health, Maldives from 2004 to 2011. His education is focussed mainly on Healthcare Management and Education. He graduated with a Diploma in Primary Healthcare in 2004, specialized as a primary healthcare practitioner. He also graduated with a Bachelor of Health Services Management in the year 2010, specializing in healthcare management. He graduated general MBA in University of Wales in the year 2012. He also graduated with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education in the year 2014 in the National University of Maldives. Currently he is doing his PhD in Management (specialized in HRM) and Science University of Malaysia.
He is an expert in the area of healthcare consultation and management. He worked as a primary healthcare practitioner throughout Maldives while managing healthcare facilities as well. He played a key role in the communities during the Asian Tsunami 2004. He is also a volunteer since 2004 and worked as a second vice president in the National Governing Board of Maldivian Red Crescent from April 2016 - April 2019. He led the UNODC K30 project focused on prevention of the communities from drug and substance abuse from 2010 to 2011 as a president of NGO Capital Society Island Development Society, Maldives. Since 2013 he has been working as a Lecturer in the Department of Public Health, Faculty of Health Sciences, Maldives National University. Currently he is the HoD of the same department.
He is the regular reviewer of the Journal of Economics, Management and Trade, Current Journal of Applied Science and Technology, Asian Journal of Economics, Business and Accounting, Journal of Education, Society and Behavioural Science. He is also a member of Maldives Allied Health Council (MAHC) since 2004 and he is a MAHC licensed primary health worker since then. He has gone through a number of training and workshops in his field. He is a capable and enthusiastic worker.
