Bio:
Dr. Michaela Ciefova is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Applied Languages at the EUBA and a Project Manager of the H2020 project MAGYC. She has PhD in international economic relations acquired at the Faculty of International Relations of the EUBA. She graduated cum laude from the Faculty of Applied Languages of the EUBA, where she earned her Master´s degree in Intercultural Communication and Foreign Languages (English and German). She mainly focuses on the issues of cultural and international relations and diplomacy. Besides, she has co-authored several papers on environmental issues. She has participated in long- or short-term study mobilities abroad, e.g. in Austria, Germany, Italy; teaching and staff mobilities (Cyprus, Romania, Portugal); and has presented her research results at several international scientific conferences, both domestic and abroad (USA, Switzerland, Czech Republic). She has been involved in several research projects, one of them being the H2020 project EDGE – Environmental Diplomacy and Geopolitics. Currently, she is also the coordinator of a project of young scholars focusing on the concept of water in societal and linguistic contexts. Apart from academic activities, she has gained experience by working in private companies, where she has mainly been responsible for administrative and HR agenda.
